The Role:

We are seeking a commercially astute and detail-driven Sourcing Manager to support projects across the Bank’s Transformation programme . This role will be responsible for identifying optimal sourcing strategies, managing supplier engagement processes, and negotiating contracts that align with regulatory, operational, and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with project and business teams to determine the most appropriate sourcing routes, ensuring adherence with internal policies and financial services regulations.
• Lead the end-to-end sourcing process including drafting and issuing RFIs/RFPs, coordinating supplier Q&A, and managing timelines.
• Evaluate supplier proposals using structured assessment frameworks that consider risk, compliance, cost, and service delivery.
• Support or lead commercial and contractual negotiations, ensuring terms are robust, risk-mitigated, and deliver value for money.
• Maintain accurate sourcing documentation availability in line with regulatory expectations (e.g. FCA, PRA).
• Contribute to supplier due diligence and onboarding processes, including financial stability checks and compliance assessments.
• Track market trends and supplier performance to inform sourcing decisions and continuous improvement.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

• Proven experience in running sourcing processes (RFP/RFI) within a financial services environment (e.g. banking, insurance, asset management).
• 3-5 years experience in Sourcing.
• Working experience of Technology and assessing SaaS solutions .
• Strong understanding of procurement regulations, third-party risk management, and contract law.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field preferred.

Desirable Knowledge & Experience:

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with legal, IT, compliance, and risk teams on supplier engagements.
