What’s the opportunity?

This is a 6-month fixed term opportunity for a Risk Partner position supporting lending teams including Origination, RMT, and CBF. The role provides expert advice and hands-on support in risk management, facilitates risk assessments and meetings, embeds control methodologies, and manages incidents and issues. It ensures robust risk frameworks and regulatory compliance, directly influencing risk transparency and decision-making for senior management in a dynamic banking environment.

You will enjoy hybrid working, with 3 days in our London or Manchester office and 2 days from home.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Advise and support lending teams to identify, assess, and manage risks effectively.
• Facilitate and chair monthly risk meetings to drive risk awareness and action.
• Embed control and monitoring methodologies to strengthen operational resilience.
• Lead incident and issue management, ensuring accurate reporting and resolution.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure regulatory compliance and informed decision-making.

What You Will Bring

• Extensive experience in risk management within UK banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, regulatory guidelines, and control processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage cross-functional relationships.
• Professional qualifications in risk management or relevant banking experience.
