What’s the opportunity?
This is a permanent Risk role sitting at the heart of our lending activity, partnering directly with Origination, Relationship Management, and Cynergy Business Finance teams.
You’ll operate as a true business partner, working alongside senior stakeholders, promoting a proactive risk culture where colleagues understand how risk relates to their day to day role and supports sustainable growth.
This is a highly visible role where your judgement and insight will directly influence front line business, shape risk appetite, strengthen risks and controls, and impact the bank’s long-term risk profile.

How you’ll make an impact
Act as a trusted Lending Risk Partner, providing insight and challenge on products, processes and portfolio risk
Lead and shape risk forums, driving transparency, accountability, and action
Embed practical, scalable risk frameworks and monitoring approaches
Own incident and issue management, ensuring meaningful insight and resolution
Provide independent, credible challenge while maintaining strong relationships
Deliver clear, insight-led reporting and forward-looking risk analysis
What you’ll bring
Experience in risk management within UK banking or financial services
Exposure to lending, product or front-office teams
Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
A commercial mindset with a balanced approach to risk and growth
Strong understanding of risk frameworks, lending governance, and regulation
Ability to simplify complexity and provide clear, actionable insight
A proactive, hands-on approach, comfortable operating close to live activity

Hybrid working with 3 days in our London office and 2 days from home.
