Initial 6-Month Fixed Term Contract with Potential to Extend
Shape the future of mortgage banking at Cynergy Bank.
Join us as a Mortgage Business Analyst and play a key role in delivering strategic change across our regulated mortgage proposition. Working across the full mortgage lifecycle, you'll help improve customer journeys, enhance operational processes and support business-critical transformation initiatives that deliver better outcomes for customers and colleagues.
What's the Opportunity?
This is an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential for extension as we continue to invest in our mortgage transformation agenda.
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in UK regulated residential mortgages. This is not a generic Business Analyst role. To be successful, you must have significant experience working within a UK mortgage lender, building society or mortgage servicing environment and possess a strong understanding of the end-to-end mortgage lifecycle.
Working across Sales, Underwriting, Operations, Credit Risk, Compliance and Technology, you will act as the mortgage subject matter expert, helping define and deliver improvements across customer journeys, operational processes and regulatory change initiatives.
Your work will span the full mortgage lifecycle, from enquiry and application through underwriting, completion, servicing, product transfers and redemption, ensuring solutions deliver excellent customer outcomes while meeting regulatory expectations.
Where You Will Work
You will enjoy hybrid working, with 3 days in our London office and 2 days from home.
Why Join Us?
We know the best people want more than just a job. At Cynergy Bank, you will find:
Impact: Play a leading role in shaping and enhancing our regulated mortgage proposition.
Transformation: Influence meaningful change across mortgage customer journeys and operational processes.
Growth: Join a collaborative environment that values expertise, innovation and continuous improvement.
Flexibility: Benefit from our hybrid working model and supportive culture.
Reward: Competitive salary of £80,000 per annum (pro rata) plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Analyse, document and improve current and future-state processes across the end-to-end mortgage lifecycle.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define business requirements and effective change solutions.
Support mortgage transformation, remediation and regulatory change initiatives.
Ensure solutions align with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty expectations and internal mortgage policies.
Produce high-quality business requirements, process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Support UAT, implementation activities and post-go-live readiness.
Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes, operational efficiency and risk management.
What You Will Bring
Essential
Significant Business Analyst experience within a UK regulated mortgage environment.
Strong understanding of the complete residential mortgage lifecycle, including mortgage origination, application processing, underwriting, offer and completion, servicing, product transfers and redemptions.
Experience delivering change initiatives within a mortgage lender, building society or mortgage servicing organisation.
Strong knowledge of FCA mortgage regulation, MCOB requirements and Consumer Duty.
Experience mapping, analysing and improving mortgage customer journeys.
Proven ability to manage stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Front Office teams.
Strong requirements gathering, business process mapping and business analysis skills.
Desirable
Experience supporting mortgage transformation, remediation or regulatory programmes.
Experience working with mortgage origination or servicing platforms.
BCS, IIBA or equivalent Business Analysis qualification.
Important
This role requires significant experience within a UK regulated mortgage lender, building society or mortgage servicing organisation.
We are specifically seeking a Business Analyst with substantial hands-on mortgage expertise and a strong understanding of the end-to-end residential mortgage lifecycle. Applicants without direct UK regulated mortgage experience are unlikely to be suitable for this position.
How We Will Support You
Alongside a competitive salary of £80,000 per annum (pro rata), you'll have access to a range of benefits and wellbeing initiatives, annual leave, pension contributions, hybrid working, and learning and development opportunities.
Plus, a range of additional benefits designed to support you both personally and professionally.
